Complete, Like New 2019 Ref. 5170J-001
This Patek Philippe 5170J-001 Yellow Gold Chronograph With Pulsation Scale Is Complete. Accompanied with its certificate of origin, instruction manual and presentation box. This late example is in excellent condition with papers dated 2019.
The 5170 Chronograph manual wind watch, features a 39 mm case. This is a yellow gold example with silver dial with pulsation scale and yellow deployant buckle. Functions include hours, minutes, seconds, 30 minute register and chronograph.
The 5170 was released with in Basel 2010. It was the first mens wristwatch from the company to feature their own in-house designed and manufactured chronograph movement, Cal. CH 29-535 PS. The movement required five years to develop and although based on a traditional column wheel design featured six new patents. The case was very reminiscent of the vintage ref.530 and smaller ref.130 chronographs that were themselves based on the classic Calatrava model. The 5170 was fitted with a silvered dial and the first production chronograph from the company to have a pulsations scale as standard. Patek Philippe reference 5170 is the successor to reference 5070. The reference 5170 has been discontinued in all metals, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold and in platinum.
